ABOUT THE PROJECT

The Istanbul Cultural Heritage Digital Library (DigitalKütüpİST) Platform was implemented within the scope of the YEP-051 coded project, prepared by Istanbul University and supported by the Istanbul Development Agency. The project is carried out under the leadership of Istanbul University and in partnership with Fatih Sultan Mehmet Foundation University, Ibn Haldun University and Istinye University.

Aiming to bring together the cultural heritage collections in Istanbul Libraries and to present them to users as open access, the DigitalKuppist Platform aims to be one of the first digital platforms to be applied for any scientific and cultural research to be conducted in our country, thus contributing to the information-oriented development of Istanbul.

In addition to its contributions to the world of scientific study and research, the DigitalKütüpIST Platform will also provide scientific and cultural support to the field of Information and Records Management, with the new collaboration opportunities it will create for professionals.

The Digital KütüpIST Platform ultimately aims to cooperate and expand the platform with all libraries, archives and similar information centers in our country, especially in Istanbul, that have digital cultural heritage collections.
