İBN HALDUN UNİVERSİTY LİBRARY

Ibn Haldun University Library; It hosts approximately 992 rare works on Ottoman History, Literature and Religion. The majority of these works are written by Prof. Dr. It consists of donations from Raşit Küçük.

 The books in the Rare Books Collection were written in Ottoman Turkish, English, French, Latin, Arabic and Persian languages, in addition to modern Turkish. The oldest and most valuable manuscript of the collection is Şeyhülislam Ebussuud Efendi's Interpretation of the Holy Quran: İrşadul-Aklis-Selîm ilâ Mezâyal-Kitâbil-Kerîm, which was copied in Hijri 986 (1578). These books, which are of great importance especially for researchers doing historical research, are put into service according to a closed shelving system in the rare books room on the first floor of our library.
